Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Treating the root, not just the surface
Chinese medicine holds that what shows on the face reflects what's happening within. Fine lines, dullness, puffiness, and breakouts are the branch — the visible expression of an underlying imbalance in digestion, sleep, stress, or hormonal patterns. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture addresses both. Facial points and cosmetic techniques work directly on the skin. Body points work on the pattern beneath it. This is why patients often report better sleep, easier digestion, and steadier energy alongside the changes they see in the mirror — and it's why results tend to hold rather than fade between sessions. Treatment can improve the appearance of fine lines, under-eye concerns, acne, scarring, age spots, and uneven tone.
What a session includes
Every series is built around your individual concerns. Sessions draw from:
Facial and body acupuncture — the foundation of every session, working on both the face and the underlying constitutional pattern
AcuLift microneedling — stimulates collagen production and improves absorption of topical treatments
NuFace microcurrent — low-level current that tones and lifts facial musculature
Facial gua sha and cupping — traditional techniques that move stagnation, reduce puffiness, and improve circulation
Celluma light therapy — LED therapy targeting inflammation and cellular repair
Exfoliation — prepares the skin and improves the effect of everything that follows
Not every modality appears in every session. What you receive depends on your skin, your constitution, and where you are in the series.
The 10-treatment series
Facial rejuvenation is done as a series, not a single visit. Collagen remodeling takes time — the tissue needs repeated, spaced stimulus to build. One treatment feels good. Ten treatments change the tissue. Sessions are typically weekly. Most patients begin noticing changes somewhere around the third or fourth treatment — often in tone and texture before lines. The fuller structural changes accumulate through the back half of the series. Many patients return for maintenance sessions afterward to hold their results.
Who it's for
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture suits people who want a gradual, non-surgical approach and are drawn to something that treats their whole system rather than one feature. It pairs well with an existing skincare routine. Because this work increases circulation to the face, a few conditions require screening first — including pregnancy, certain bleeding disorders, use of blood thinners, active skin infections, and recent cosmetic injectables or surgical procedures. This is why every series begins with a phone conversation before booking.
Getting started
Facial rejuvenation begins with a phone call rather than an online booking. We'll talk through your goals, your health history, and your skin, and confirm the approach is a good fit before scheduling your first session.
What patients are saying
"I don’t know where to begin with relating how much I have enjoyed the relaxing sessions that have resulted in terrific improvement in my skin. My skin is smoother, it is far more radiant, my facial muscles are more sculpted, and my wrinkles are much less noticeable now. I get a kick out of people whom I have known for a long time look puzzled and then ask if I have lost weight or changed my hair because “you look so good!” Nothing’s changed but my skin! If you are interested in great results without injections or surgery, give Anew’s Facial Rejuvenation program a try!"

"I started into the series of 10 week Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture sessions, and enjoyed them very much. During the many weeks of sessions, I felt myself changing, not just in appearance, but also within, subtly and not so subtly. At the end of the series, I told Leah that I felt as if there was more ‘room inside for the new’. I’m 70 now and feel this was the best birthday present I ever gave myself!! And of course, it doesn’t hurt that I look and feel SO much better.”

Botox works by relaxing muscle. Fillers add volume. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture does neither — it stimulates your own tissue to produce collagen and improves circulation to the face. Results build gradually rather than appearing at once, and there is no frozen look, because nothing is being paralyzed or injected.

Facial needles are extremely fine — considerably thinner than the needles used for body acupuncture. Most patients find sessions relaxing and many fall asleep. Microneedling produces more sensation than the acupuncture itself, though it's brief and well tolerated.

This varies with age, skin condition, lifestyle, and how well the underlying pattern has been addressed. Most patients maintain their results with periodic maintenance sessions after completing the series. Results are not permanent — no non-surgical approach is — but they tend to hold considerably longer than a single facial treatment.

Occasional minor bruising is possible, particularly around the eyes where tissue is thin, and typically resolves within a few days. Let us know if you have an event coming up and we'll plan the series around it.

Often yes, but timing matters and needs to be discussed. Bring your full history to the initial phone screening, including anything recent.
